I've always been a fan of Etude House.
Back when I was still in high school, it was hard to get Etude House products since there were no Etude House shops in our place. *sigh* But now that I'm in college and living in Manila, it's so easy to get Etude House products, haha.
I've only ever bought masks in Etude House, actually, but I loved them. And now, I'm taking it to the next level! Hahaha. And since today is my birthday, I'm going to review the Etude House BB Cream Cotton Fit. I've only just begun using it, so these are just my first impressions, okay?
I'll be honest with you guys, I had a hard time choosing between this one and the Etude House BB Cream Bright Fit. Most online reviews I checked said they liked Bright Fit better, while some said Cotton Fit is better for them. So, I tried out both, and I liked Cotton Fit better.
That's how I ended up with the Etude House BB Cream Cotton Fit.
This is actually my first time to buy a BB cream, or any tinted cream for that matter, aside from my trusty Pond's Pinkish White Glow Cream that I had used for almost a year. I used it on and off though, since most of the time, I'm too lazy to use creams on my face before going to school. However, my mom, who has such perfect skin, expressed interest in this, so I decided to give it a try. I mean, she's like 27 years older than me but she seems to have better skin than me! And she swears that it's because of her multi-step skincare that, yes, involves creams.
There are four shades to the Etude House BB Cream: the light one, medium-light one, the average one (W24), and the dark-ish one. (Sorry, I don't know the names!) As I said before, I don't really like looking white, so I chose the average-looking one. The saleslady told me I should try out the medium-light one, though, because it seemed to match my complexion better, but when we tested it on my hand, I think the average one still looks better on me.
And, yep, I do think the average one suits me nicely. It matches my skin color well well and it doesn't seem like I'm wearing something on my face. Although, I still might give the lighter shade a try next time.
The Etude House BB Cream Cotton Fit has a matte finish that promises to stay on your face for like, the whole day. Also, it doesn't make my skin oily at all! Pond's Pinking White Glow Cream used to make me oily, so I had to reapply loose powder every two hours or so. My main reason for using creams is to keep my face moisturized with the least amount of effort, though I really hate it when it makes me so oily. Oily ≠ Moisturized, imho.
Another plus to the Etude House BB Cream Cotton Fit is that it has good coverage, managing to hide the little pimples on my chin and nose. I have some few small bumps on my T-Zone, and this BB cream makes them almost invisible. Seriously.
It's P 849 for 60g, and for that price, it's quite cheap. It's sure to last for a pretty long time, I believe. Especially since I doubt I'll use this every day, haha. Too lazy for that shi-- routine. :)
