Review: Maybelline Clear Smooth Extra Shine Free Powder Foundation

Hey everyone!

Today, I'm reviewing the Maybelline Clear Smooth Extra Shine Free Powder Foundation. *pant*pant* Whew, what a long name!

I'm hoping that it will last as long as that name, because I totally love it.

If you're someone who knows me from real life, then you also know that I'm not a fan of heavy makeup. I don't like putting a lot of it on my face, since it makes me so uncomfortable! Even during school events, I usually just put on powder and a lip tint. However, I've always been a fan of skincare, as well as eye makeup. Aside from my handy powder, I also have an eyelash curler, mascara, and liquid eye liner. That's all.

But this powder foundation doesn't feel like makeup at all!

(I'm considering this as makeup, since it's a kind of foundation, after all!)

I actually bought it while I was hanging out with my dad at SM, and the girl there was doing some smooth sales-talking and she totally talked me into buying the Maybelline Clear Smooth Extra Shine Free Powder Foundation. Haha. I asked her what shade would be nice, and she said that for fair people, nude beige would be perfect. However, I don't like looking too fair or anything like that, so I chose the natural shade. When it comes to Western brands, it's honestly hard to find a shade for my skin, because I don't have pinkish white skin. I have yellowish-white skin, totally Asian.

And it looks really nice! I think it's perfect for my skin, because it's not too white and not too dark either. Plus, it blends well. Besides, I'd rather look a little darker than normal than look like I'm wearing a white mask.

There are 4 shades to choose from: light, nude beige, natural, and honey. They didn't have the light one when I bought this though, so I only got the try the other three. Technically, nude beige looks nice on my face, but it looks weird on my hand, haha. As for honey, I think it's too dark for me? But at least, it's nice that there are 4 different shades to choose from.

Likes:
- It's not heavy on my skin. Feels like I'm not wearing anything on my face!
- Controls oiliness.
- Manages to stay on my face even after hours of sweating in the hot Philippine climate.
- It has SPF 20, which helps, somehow.
- High coverage!
- Doesn't clog my pores.
- No breakouts.

Dislikes:
- The sponge.

Price? 259 pesos.
Where to buy? SM, Watsons.
Will I recommend this? Yes, definitely.
Will I repurchase? Yes, oh yes. Haha. I don't think I'll ever go back to J&J for my face. Maybelline Clear Smooth Extra Shine Free Powder Foundation Review is quite cheap and I think it's worth my money. Only, next time I'm gonna buy a brush too, since I simply don't like the sponge.
